I have always enjoyed science and when I write a science fiction story it has to be based on science, not fantasy. Whether the story deals with advances in physics, robotics, genetics, or the human condition, I want it to be believable and based on either current research or speculation by scientific experts. There are always compromises, of course, in any science fiction story. Artificial gravity and faster than light communications are two glaring examples, but are often required in order to make the basic story enjoyable.

I enjoy writing science fiction but I enjoy hearing from readers even more. I will always respond personally to any email, even criticism, with a smile. After all, it’s meant to be fun.  email: author.jdclarke@gmail.com
